If you are ready to submit your organization’s nature strategy, complete the submission form below.
As you continue to drive for increased ambition, for your nature strategy to be featured ahead of COP16 on the ‘It’s Now for Nature’ Website, it must include the following minimum requirements:
- A materiality assessment to identify material impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
- SMART targets aligned with material impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
- Actions to achieve SMART targets and in particular to avoid and reduce negative impacts on nature; based on material impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
- C-suite or board approval of the strategy and responsibility for its delivery.
Business for Nature will review your strategy against the Nature Strategy Handbook and the minimum requirements above and will come back to you with feedback if necessary.
Importantly, the review will be a process-based assessment of whether these current minimum requirements are covered in the submitted strategy or not; rather than an assessment of the ambition and quality of the strategy itself.
Please note
The campaign will not offer any certification, ranking or benchmarking of businesses based on their nature strategies. Instead, we will showcase exemplary nature strategy documents and highlight how companies are taking meaningful action to address nature loss. As noted above, the review will be a process-based assessment of whether these current minimum requirements are covered in the submitted strategy or not; rather than an assessment of the ambition and quality of the strategy itself.
