Imerys submitted its 2025 act4nature commitments, Universal Declaration Document and 2024 Biodiversity Report to the It’s Now for Nature campaign and met all the review criteria.

  • Imerys conducted double materiality analysis in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

  • Water pollution: By 2026, 100% of priority water sites will have a management plan for responsible use of water resources.
  • Loss/Pressure on Biodiversity: No new extractive sites (quarries and mines) within UNESCO World Heritage sites and IUCN protected areas classified in categories I, II and III from 2025
  • Mineral waste: By 2025, improve mineral resources efficiency by ensuring priority sites comply with new mineral waste reporting requirements

  • Imerys structures concrete actions around the mitigation hierarchy, and links back to its SMART targets.
  • For example:
  • Water: Mitigate the Group’s water-related impacts by developing and deploying a water management roadmap and protocol.
  • Biodiversity: Prevent, identify, and control Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in quarries.
  • Climate change: Continue implementing the Group’s climate change roadmap.
  • Mineral waste: Development of alternative products such as ReMined and Imerloop F, circular solutions developed with industry partners.

  • The Board has approved the nature strategy of Imerys, with a Sustainability Committee chaired by the CEO and oversight from the Board’s Strategy and Sustainability Committee.
